Disney has equaled magic to me since the days of watching “The Wonderful World of Disney” on Sunday nights when I was a girl. The magic continued from my first visit to Walt Disney World to the joy of taking my sons and sharing the wonders with them. Yes – I am one of those people. A huge Disney fan!
I’ve experienced the parks as a fun loving twenty something, a mom with young kids, then tweens and teens and most recently as a solo traveler. Now that I am older, nothing would make me happier than to experience the magic of the parks with a man that can enjoy them as much as I; from the first moments on the Magical Express bus to the Goodnight Kiss at the Magic Kingdom. This is one of the incarnations of what could be a perfect Disney date. BUT – what makes a date perfect is fun, mutual interest, flexibility and a bit of pixie dust. Disney Magic will take care of the rest.
I can imagine my date and I meeting at the Main Gate at the Magic Kingdom early for an 8:00am character breakfast at the Crystal Palace. After Pooh and friends, we will have the park almost to ourselves and make our way to whatever attractions we decide on. My favorites at the MK are the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority but I enjoy all of them except possibly for Stitch……
As my DisDates name is Epcot Nights and of course this is our first date we will have to make our way via Monorail, over to Epcot. One of my “dream date” activities is to take a Segway Tour of the World Showcase. Once we finish our tour, we can make our way to Future World and go on Soarin’ and Test Track and enjoy Innoventions, some Coke products at Club Cool and a snack after Living with the Land.
As a lady, I’d expect my date to have a dinner reservation at one of the incredible restaurants on the property – as we’re at Epcot, perhaps a dinner at Marrakesh or a walk over to the Yacht Club and a boat back to the park. My favorite nighttime activities are watching Illuminations with a glass of wine or a draught at the pub at the Rose and Crown. After the show we can walk over the illuminated sidewalk and onto Spaceship Earth – my favorite attraction and a proper end of first date ride. Hopefully, hand in hand, we can make our way past through the gates and into a wonderful future. The Wedding Pavilion perhaps?
There are so many ways to make a first date special at Disney. From the nighttime fireworks at the Magic Kingdom to Fantasmic at the Hollywood Studios and safaris as the Animal Kingdom. I could easily write 50 different variations of a first date. One thing I would like to find is a gentleman who would love to explore all the wonderful ways to enjoy the parks and each other.
Good luck in finding your DisDate!
