I have switched the chat room over to FriendFeed. FriendFeed allows for more of an ongoing chat as opposed to the real time room.  FriendFeed is free to sign up for and you can get iphone apps for free! BuddyZFeed is a good one!

Once you signup for a FriendFeed account search for the DisDates group and join. It take a little getting used to but I think in the long run will be a better solution for our site.
